Ok, whether you love her or loathe her, the astro of Lady Gaga is very intriguing and worth a peek.
The first thing you notice when you look at her chart is her very crowded 1st house. She has her Ascendant in Sagittarius so obviously doesn’t mind causing a bit of controversy from time to time, but with four very different planets in her 1st house, she may give mixed messages as to how she comes across. With Saturn here, Gaga would have been highly ambitious even from a young age. She would have appeared to be more serious and mature than other kids her age, and knew exactly what she wanted to be. To have achieved as much as she has at her age, is proof of her work ethic.
People with Uranus on the Ascendant can sometimes come across as a bit odd and she clearly has fun with this aspect of her personality in the wacky clothes she wears. She is considered by some to be ahead of her time, and this isn’t surprising with the planet of technology and futuristic trends in her “image” house.
Mars here is probably responsible for her prodigious output and energetic zest for life, while Neptune, even though it is in Capricorn is still in the 1st house also, and so despite the aggressive manner in which she pursues fame, she comes across as being soft-spoken and even a bit fragile at times.
Her four planets in the 1st house, along with her Aries Sun gives her a real knack for shameless self-promotion, which is a huge advantage in the music industry where exposure and media publicity is everything.
With her Moon in Scorpio, Lady Gaga is a lot deeper than people think. And despite her flamboyant image, I imagine that in real life, she is probably very private and hard to get to know.
Mars in Capricorn gives a serious work ethic, as well as a tendency to be a workaholic. Mars works very well in Capricorn, and people with this placement usually face unbeatable odds to make something of themselves. I remember reading somewhere that the main reason Lady Gaga decided to become famous was to get back at an ex-boyfriend who told her she’d never amount to anything. That sounds like Mars in Capricorn to me.
She has Jupiter and Mercury in Pisces in the 3rd showing that she is at her best when she communictes in a creative way, as in songwriting or singing, whilst Venus and North Node in the 5th are excellent placements for a performer. Surprisingly, the NN is the only thing Gaga has in Taurus, while the other sign associated with music-Libra- is absent. I think this means that she is more worried about being seen as a ‘performer’ rather than a musician, but whatever she’s doing, it’s obviously working for her.
Her Chiron in the 7th may make it diffcult for her to have a loving relationship, and it is evident she has suffered betrayal and heartache in this area of her life. Quotes like this are a verbal expression of her having Chiron in the 7th house of relationships:
“Some women choose to follow men, and some women choose to follow their dreams. If you’re wondering which way to go, remember that your career will never wake up and tell you that it doesn’t love you anymore.”
Oddly enough for someone who is in the public eye so much, Lady Gaga has nothing in her 10th house, which is traditionally associated with fame and success. There is also nothing in the 9th which is another house that frequently pops up in the charts of famous people. One thing is for sure, though- Lady Gaga is an absolute powerhouse when it comes to personality, and in the end that is what has given her the will to succeed.
