One of the really nice things about Christmas is taking the time to pick out presents for your loved ones that you know they will truly love and appreciate. And as the recipient, it is nice to know that someone knows you well enough to pick the perfect Christmas gift for you.
If you’re stuck for gift ideas as the 25th December draws ever closer, maybe you can find some inspiration in the following suggestions for each sign.
Gifts for Aries: Sports and gym equipment, tickets to a car racing or motorbike event (I have noticed Aries men seem to be total rev-heads when it comes to cars), anything in fire-engine red- a red scarf, shirt, etc. Buying them their favourite football team’s latest jersey or tickets to a football match or the sporting code they follow would be well-received. Arians like to keep active so vouchers to coach with a personal trainer or membership to the local pool might also make you their number 1 fan.
Gifts for Taurus: Taureans love their creature comforts so a new comfy sofa, bed or day lounge could be perfect for these laid-back lounge lizards. They also enjoy having their senses indulged so a silk shirt, perfume, an original piece of art work, tickets to see their favourite band or dinner at a fancy restaurant would all be great gifts!
Gifts for Geminis: The butterflies of the zodiac, Geminis are always flitting from one new interest or hobby to the next. This week, it might be learning to play the guitar, next week it might be learning to speak Spanish. A voucher for a bookstore wouldn’t go astray, as they are naturally curious about everything and love to learn. If you can’t think what else to get them, a new phone might do the trick- as they never get tired of chatting!
Gifts for Cancerians: I know it’s a cliché, but most Cancerians just want to spend Christmas at home, surrounded by family. Your Cancerian grandma may love to receive a framed photo of all her grandchildren, while your dad might like a subscription to his favourite genealogy site. Cancerians love history- not just their own family’s but history in general. Books or movies about a particular event or time in history that fascinates them, will be treasured forever.
Gifts for Leos: These royal pussycats of the zodiac like to be pampered and what would a pussycat be without a well-groomed mane? A trip to an expensive hair salon, or a luxurious day spa may get their motors purring. Leos like to do everything in style so VIP movie tickets complete with champagne and special treatment could make you a star in their eyes! If all else fails, think bling, bling and more bling!
Gifts for Virgos: Virgos prefer the practical over the ostentatious, so a daily planner for the year ahead, or some beautiful stationary might go down a treat. Beauty products made from natural ingredients or handmade craft gifts such as scented candles or soap might delight the female Virgo in your life. Virgos usually have a love of words, so books and word puzzles might also be the go. Anything that helps make their body or mind function better would be well regarded.
Gifts for Librans: Librans of both sexes usually enjoy the arts, but Libran ladies, in particular would be thrilled with tickets to a classical music concert or a trip to the ballet to see Swan Lake. The keyword for Librans is refined (think Roger Moore, Bryan Ferry and Gwyneth Paltrow, who are all Librans) so choose something which appeals to their delicate sense of sound or sight. Libran males can be quite image-conscious so a new suit to show off their typically slim figure or a stylish wristwatch should make them happy.
Gifts for Scorpios: Ok, I’ll try and keep this one PG rated as it could be your grandma you’re buying for. As the natural detectives of the zodiac, Scorpios usually enjoy a good crime novel, mystery or thriller. For the younger Scorpios, anything to do with vampires could whet their appetite. To really keep them interested, drop little hints about a surprise Christmas present- their minds will immediately get to work trying to figure out what it is.
Gifts for Sagittarians: From what I have observed, there are usually two types of Sagittarians- the sporty ones and the bookish ones. If your Saggi falls into the former category, then any kind of adventure holiday would be right up their alley. Sports equipment or a trip to see their favourite sporting event will also win their heart. For the bookish Saggi, buying them the latest novel from their favourite author or a book about one of their favourite subjects will always be a winner. Most Saggis love animals as well, especially the furry kind, but just make sure the animal is wanted by all the members of the family before you buy it!
Gifts for Capricorns: Being an earth sign, Capricorns prefer to receive gifts that are useful and will last a long time. Not all of them are obsessed with status symbols, but they do appreciate quality when it comes to gifts. If your budget doesn’t stretch to a vintage Rolls Royce, then Mr Cap might be happy with a silk tie, a tasteful watch or time piece (remember Saturn rules time) or an antique connected with his hobby or interests. For the Capricorn lady, some Chanel perfume, elegant jewellery or a little black dress might raise your stocks in her opinion.
Gifts for Aquarians: If the Water bearer you are buying for is like most Aquas, then gadgets and technology will never let you down. More than any other sign, Aquarius loves the machine that goes ping! The latest iphone, ipad, i-anything is probably top of their Christmas list, and even older Aquarians who may not have grown up with computers can be surprisingly well-informed about all things techy. For those rare non- hi tech Aquas, anything that is a little zany or quirky would make a great Christmas present.
Gifts for Pisceans: The dreamers of the zodiac love anything that helps them to escape reality for a little while so a boxed set of their favourite tv show or a night out at the theatre, ballet or art gallery would be a wonderful Christmas gift for them. Pisceans are usually into the occult so astrology books, tarot cards or anything else esoteric might also please them. Music is often another great love for Pisceans and they are usually very good dancers, so even just taking them for a night out on the town could end up being a Christmas they’ll never forget-or remember!
